Junhui Confirms He’ll Be a Father in August
Live Cricket BPL reports that Chinese snooker star Ding Junhui has officially confirmed he will become a father this August. The joyful news was shared during the “Sports Night – Evolution of the Sports Industry” sub-forum at the Boao Forum for Asia, where CCTV Sports Channel host Zhang Bin first revealed the announcement.
While introducing the guest lineup at the event, Zhang said, “We just chatted with Ding Junhui, and he’s about to become a father for the first time. Let’s give him a round of applause.” He added, “This August, he’ll step into fatherhood—a wonderful milestone in life.” Warm congratulations immediately followed, and later that evening, Ding personally confirmed the news on social media. “Yes, I’m going to be a dad! Thanks to everyone for the kind wishes. And yes, it’s Zhang Bin who shared the news—again.”
Live Cricket BPL recalls that back in 2014, Ding publicly revealed on the CCTV show Fengyunhui that he had registered his marriage with his longtime partner Zhang Yuanyuan. Coincidentally, that program was also hosted by Zhang Bin. Now, four years later, Zhang Bin once again helped break another major piece of Ding’s life news—this time about his transition into fatherhood.
Fans across the snooker world have reacted with excitement, seeing new inspiration in Ding’s personal journey. Messages flooded in on social media, ranging from heartfelt to humorous. “Congrats, Brother Hui! Time to be a great family man—but don’t forget to win more titles for your little one and us loyal fans!” one supporter wrote. Another commented playfully, “You’ve kept this a secret for so long—I almost exploded waiting! Congratulations to both of you. A beautiful new chapter begins.”
Live Cricket BPL notes that while Ding’s competitive career has seen highs and lows in recent years, this moment marks a significant turning point in his personal life. As he prepares for fatherhood, many fans believe this new role will bring renewed focus and motivation to the snooker legend—both on and off the table.
